About

As an Entrepreneur and business owner, one of my responsibilities is to contribute to social development, through financial, non-financial, and other resources. It's a key part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for my businesses as it focuses on improving communities and individuals' lives, going beyond the company's core business operations.

Through our CSI, we founded The Soweto Central Chorus, a renowned choir based in Mofolo, Soweto, has been making waves with its exceptional talent and dedication to musical excellence.

Established in 2012, Soweto Central Chorus started as a modest church choir and has since evolved into a powerhouse in the music industry. With 60 choir members, the group was founded with the goal of providing high-quality music education to the youth of Soweto. Over the years, they have not only accomplished this mission but have also become a platform for nurturing fresh talent and introducing it to the world of music.

1. Inspiring Communities for Positive Change: Our primary goal is to utilize music as a tool to inspire communities and encourage them to veer away from anti-social activities. By spreading positive messages and uplifting melodies, we hope to foster a sense of unity and positivity amongst residents.

2. Restoring the Spirit of Ubuntu and Moral Regeneration: Through the medium of music, we seek to reignite the spirit of Ubuntu and promote moral regeneration within the townships. By highlighting values of compassion, respect, and togetherness, we aim to create a harmonious environment that promotes growth and development.

3. Providing High-Quality Music Skills: One of our key objectives is to offer aspiring artists the opportunity to enhance their musical talents through our incubation program. By providing top-notch training and guidance, we hope to equip young musicians with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the music industry.

4. Creating Performance Platforms for Young Artists: The tour will also serve as a platform for young artists to showcase their talents and connect with a wider audience. By organizing performances and events within the townships, we aim to provide these artists with valuable exposure and support as they pursue their musical aspirations.

We believe that the Soweto Central Chorus Music Inspirational Tour has the potential to make a significant impact on the communities we visit and to empower aspiring artists to reach new heights in their musical careers. We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and invite you to join us on this inspiring journey.

I’m a seasoned entrepreneur and award-winning film producer and creator whose presence and impact in the business and film fraternity cannot be ignored. I’m also a passionate storyteller, who loves to tell heritage stories of his African origin. I formed part of the 2022 jury at the Genesis International Film Festival.

I hold many tittles and one of them is being a founder of Soweto Central Chorus. Soweto Central Chorus, a renowned choir based in Mofolo, Soweto, has been making waves with its exceptional talent and dedication to musical excellence.

One of the remarkable aspects of Soweto Central Chorus is its collaborations with renowned artists in the industry. From working with Ntokozo Mbambo , Khaya Mthethwa to more collaborations with Azana, Something Soweto, and even the legendary Ladysmith Black Mambazo, the choir has consistently elevated its craft and gained recognition for its exceptional performances.

Soweto Central Chorus has recently collaborated with the iconic Ladysmith Black Mambazo on their latest single, "Usuku Oluzayo". This collaboration brings together two musical powerhouses, each known for their unique sound and cultural influence.

The fusion of Soweto Central Chorus's vibrant energy and Ladysmith Black Mambazo's rich harmonies in "Usuku Oluzayo" promises to deliver a captivating listening experience that celebrates the diversity and talent of South African music.

Assistance in the form of financial support would greatly enhance our ability to reach a wider audience and create a memorable experience for all participants.

As we strive to enhance the program's effectiveness and sustainability, we have identified four key areas where financial support from the AdaptiveIntelligence community would greatly benefit our project:

1. Infrastructure Development: Investing in the enhancement of our rehearsal spaces, equipment, and facilities will enable us to provide a conducive environment for artistic growth and creativity.

2. Educational Initiatives: By allocating funds towards educational workshops, seminars, and training programs, we can empower our participants with valuable knowledge and skills that will enrich their musical journey.

3. Community Outreach: With your support, we can expand our reach and engage with more communities, creating opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds to experience the transformative power of music.

4. Artistic Development: Financial assistance in the form of scholarships, grants, and artist residencies will enable us to nurture emerging talents and support the professional growth of our participants.

By partnering with Soweto Central Chorus, the AdaptiveIntelligence community has the opportunity to not only support local artists and performers but also to promote cultural exchange and dialogue within our community.
