Dan Be Kim

As an AI-ED expert, I would love to connect with the Adaptive Intelligence community to explore opportunities for designing AI literacy programming and training tailored to the needs of different organizations.

I currently consult for educational institutions and businesses, helping them develop functional AI literacy—the ability to responsibly and effectively leverage a range of AI tools for domain-specific tasks. My approach empowers individuals, departments, and organizations to move beyond passive AI adoption and develop strategic, adaptable AI fluency.

A core focus of my programming is fostering tool literacy—the ability to assess, select, and apply the right AI toolkit for specific workflows, while also cultivating the versatility to learn and apply new AI-powered tools. My AI-ED programming also emphasizes composite AI, encouraging participants to expand beyond ChatGPT and engage with a diverse ecosystem of AI tools in an integrated and agentic way.

Dan Be Kim is a graduate student in the Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she contributes to research on Inspiring Moral AI Guidance in Education (IMAGINE) at the Center for Digital Thriving. She is also a member of the 2025 Cohort of Student Leaders in AI at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society, where she fosters interdisciplinary collaborations across Harvard schools.

A startup enthusiast with an extensive background in product management, she has conceptualized and launched several marketplaces, including a venture-backed PropTech startup in the Bay Area. Her current work focuses on AI literacy interventions and programming for educators and learners in upper-secondary and higher education, as well as professionals across various industries, ensuring responsible and effective engagement with AI technologies to perform domain-specific tasks.
